Shalimar - Villa Cantik

Shalimar is a peaceful beachfront oasis of three luxurious private villas, each spacious villa is set within its own garden and each boasts a private swimming pool. This large and luxurious complex comprises the 6-bedroom Villa Kalima, the 4-bedroom Villa Makanda, and the 2-bedroom Villa Cantik. Guests may rent any one of the villas on an individual basis, or they may choose any combination of two villas, or the whole complex with its grand total of twelve bedrooms, accommodating up to twenty-four guests.

Located on the beach of traditional fishing village of Seseh, Shalimar offers an outstanding view of the Ocean and the surrounding rice fields. Encompassed by nature, within peaceful rural surroundings, Villa Shalimar is only thirty minutes’ drive from the fashionable shops, world-class restaurants and vibrant nightspots of Seminyak, and about forty-five minutes' drive from Bali's International Airport. The majority of the island’s tourist attractions are also within easy reach.

Villa Cantik at Shalimar is the smallest villa. This villa offers intimate atmosphere that perfect for honeymooners or small families. Nevertheless, the bedrooms are large and spacious, complete with a private swimming pool. This villa is built around a pair of antique ‘Joglos’, a traditional Javanese teakwood houses.

Each of the two bedrooms at Villa Cantik is housed within the twin joglos. Each of the king size beds are actually constructed within the core of each joglo. Each is attractively and comfortably furnished, equipped with air-conditioning, ceiling fans, a safe deposit box and a walk-in wardrobe; each enjoys an abundance of natural light. The adjoining garden bathrooms are completely open-air, with high encompassing walls to protect the privacy of the guests. Each bathroom features a shower, toilet, a washbasin, and a floor of pebbles punctuated by star-shaped Palimanan stepping stones.

Each bedroom opens onto a sheltered verandah upon the timber pool deck. Furnished with tables and chairs, and cooled by ceiling fans, this is a lovely place to relax, or alfresco dining. The pool deck is furnished with stylish, comfortable sun loungers that can be pushed together, and the pretty garden is bordered by a red hibiscus hedge to ensure privacy. The private swimming pool utilises an advanced salt water filtration system that is soft on the earth and gentle on the skin.

The villa is accessed by an ancient pair of wooden doors set within an ornately carved timber. Inside, guests will be greeted by a welcoming Buddha statue within the cozy indoor living adjoining to the dining area, which is comfortably furnished with a built-in L-shaped sofa, cushions, a coffee table and lamps, and a dining table for four. It is equipped with a flat screen TV, DVD player, quality sound system and Internet access.

Immediately next to the living and dining area is an open-plan kitchen, this kitchen is fully equipped with a 4-burner gas hob, refrigerator, juicer, blender, coffee machine, and a generous range of fine glassware and tableware.
